Vb Japan DMC is a small team doing detailed work: designing and operating trade itineraries across all of Japan. We grow slowly and hire carefully - and we are always glad to hear from good people.
What the job actually involves
We operate programmes for travel agencies rather than selling to travellers, across 43 destinations. That means the work is specific: confirming a ryokan that has no online inventory, checking a group's dates against the Japanese holiday calendar before a quote goes out, finding out whether a coach can physically reach a drop point in the Kyoto eastern hills.
It suits people who would rather get a detail right than get a document out. Most of what goes wrong on a Japan itinerary was decided weeks earlier by someone who did not check something.

Own itineraries end to end: supplier confirmations, guide and transport scheduling, and on-tour support across our 43 operating cities. Japanese-English bilingual preferred. Strong growth prospects and competitive remuneration.
Operations Coordinator - Trade Support
Work directly with our agency partners: quotations, booking amendments and documentation, keeping our 24-hour response promise. Detail-obsessed communicators thrive here. Clear progression path and competitive remuneration.
Admin Executive

Do I need to speak Japanese?
For the operations roles, Japanese-English bilingual is preferred - much of the supplier work happens in Japanese. It is not required for every role, and strong English communication matters as much.
Can I apply if none of the open roles fit?

Are guide engagements freelance?
Licensed guide work is freelance and seasonal, across our operating cities - especially Kansai, Kanto, Hokkaido and Kyushu.
